Michael Jordan supports Chicago, rejects NHL sponsor Reebok
He did not want to be photographed with a reebok logo on his custom jersey, Jordan was at the United Center on Friday night's game against the Detroit Red Wings, greeting the crowd in a No. 23 Chicago Blackhawks custom jersey sweater.
This is not the first time jordan does a similar thing, the first time Jordan (or his handlers) have painstakingly avoiding an indirect endorsement of another sports apparel line. In 1992, Jordan draped an American flag over a Reebok logo on the medal stand at the Summer Olympics.( The logo debacle (Barcelona 1992)
(Reebok had exclusive rights to produce warm-up outfits and other apparel for athletes at the 1992 Summer Games. Michael Jordan and other members of the USA basketball team had contracts with Nike and refused to bare the Reebok logos when they accepted their gold medals.)
In 2oo7 Jordan placed a piece of white tape over the adidas logo during a interview/photo shoot.
maybe JORDAN is still not allowed to wear any sports brand but NIKE!
